Air Service

Three airports serve the Silver Valley. Shoshone County Airport is located in Smelterville across from the Silver Valley Business Center and able to handle smaller Jets and Twin Engines. Night landings possible with advanced notice at 208-786-5381.

Coeur'd Alene Airport is 45 miles to the west accepting corporate jets with a 7400
foot runway. Pilot controlled lighting. Contact at 208-772-7838

Spokane International is just 85 miles west. Spokane International serves Transcontinental airlines Alaska, Delta, Northwest and United. Regional air service is provided by Air Canada, Big Sky Airlines, Horizon Air, Southwest and America West.

Ports of Entry

Three Port Districts serve the Silver Valley. The furthest inland of any seaports on the West Coast, the Port Districts of Lewiston, Clarkston and Whitman County on the Idaho/Washington border are located just over 150 miles south of the Silver Valley.

Railroads

Rail service is located just 77 miles west of the Silver Valley in Spokane. Union Pacific and Burlington Northern/Santa Fe reailroads both provide direct lines from Seattle to Chicago, being the northwests major train assembly hub on the northernmost US transcontinental rail line.
